Aroma Indian Restaurant

OLD TOWN PORT MOODY HAS BEEN DEVOURING THE DELECTABLE DELIGHTS AT AROMA FOR FOUR AND A HALF YEARS NOW.

CM Bhatt is a legend in the lower mainland, famous for his revolutionary and award-winning food which he developed first in India and then brought to Vancouver. There, he perfected them at two well known Indian restaurants and met his two partners, Hardeep and Gurdip. He furthered his skills at his own Aroma restaurant Northside in Port Coquitlam, which he opened in 2003, and it quickly became very popular with the local residents. He and his partners were presented with the opportunity to open their new location in 2011 and have not looked back!

Tucked in the Queens St. (North of the St. Johns St. Starbucks), our beautiful restaurant is a true gem in Port Moody. In the last four years, Aroma became the highest searched restaurant on Urban Spoon, Zomato, and Yelp. We were nominated by the city of Port Moody for a spike business excellence award and voted one of the favourite places for Indian Food in the tri-city news A-list contest three years in a row. Aroma has also received three business excellence awards by Yelp. The aroma offers a truly authentic fine dining experience.

Having gained invaluable experience in India’s 5-star hotels, our chef will tantalize your taste buds with an extensive menu of meat and vegetarian dishes. Great Indian Foos in Port Moody Just tried this restaurant for the first time. We went fairly early and it wasn't too crowded, but by the time our food came it was almost packed. Obviously a popular place with lots of repeat customers. We ordered their famous butter chicken and a mixed grill. Both were very tasty and I loved the mint sauce accompaniment. My only complaint is their very basic beer and wine selection. I was hoping they would have featured some of the excellent local craft brews. The upside is they only charge $15 corkage, so next time I will bring my own wine.

You know when you fall in love with a song and then hear a really good quality cover and have confused feelings? That is a bit how I feel with Indian restaurants. I fell in love with certain flavours the first time I experienced the cuisine but it is a genre that has endless variety of notes to hit.I ordered delivery from this establishment using Just-Eat.com I agree with another reviewer that there was more of a 'tomato' taste in some dishes than I am used to. However, the tastes were pleasing and I found myself being won over with every bit.The prices are a bit more than I am used to paying and the portions are not immense. Still, the quality is high and the recipes fragrant and delicious. I will definitely order from here again. I would get the Chicken Korma and Paneer Tikka again in a heartbeat. As for the other dishes? They were choice but I would like to try others from the extensive menu, next time.Delivery was fast and personable.

Authentic, delicious, friendly Aroma is our go-to Indian cuisine restaurant. We are so lucky to have it in Port Moody! We have frequented this place many times, as a couple and in large groups and the food, service & atmosphere are always an A+. Live music on the weekends is a nice touch. My mouth is watering just thinking about the lamb korma !! Highly recommended

Exquisite butter chicken I've been going to Aroma dozens of times since it opened. Everything is consistently perfect. Flawlessness is so rare these days - these folks only have good staff enjoying good days.

The food is delicious! We usually ask the owner what he would recommend and he does not disappoint. He definitely brings enough food for the table but doesn't over order for you. We always love everything that we try. Definitely a favourite in the area and love bringing friends and family who haven't been there to experience how good it is.

Top draw Just came back from the UK and this would be better that any I had over there. Really good complex flavours not found in many other indian restaurants over here

Pleasant Surprise We were looking for something new in our area and decided to have dinner at Aroma in Port Moody. The food was excellent, the owners very friendly and the decor was pleasant. Tables were well spaced providing some privacy and it was quiet enough to have a conversation without straining to hear your guests. It allowed for a relaxed meal. They admitted to being very understaffed that night but remained attentive and we didn't have to wait too long. Regardless, the food was worth it. Parking was a bit of a challenge.
